Planning rules in Chelmsford

Planning applications in Chelmsford go to Chelmsford City Council. The council has 26 conservation areas, nine of them in the city itself, including Moulsham Street and the West End.

Some jobs need a full application and some fall under permitted development. We tell you which applies before you pay for drawings, and build to your architect's and structural engineer's drawings.
